Dear hind,
I understand how you feel. It is perfectly all right to feel that way and everyone feels hopeless at times. I would encourage you to do small things that make you feel good and build up your self esteem and self love that way. I wish you all the best in the coming year.
Dear Ronda,
I have a whole section on how to help a man deal with his commitment fears in Sealing the Deal. I highly recommend you pick up a copy of that book–it could really help you to help him. Wishing you love,
Diana
Hi Dr Dianna,
I am reading right now the book:”love in 90 days “it is an encyclopedia of woman self empowerment.
however,Dr.Diana ,I am 36 lady, divorced befor 4 years from a very bad relationship ,where no respect no appreciation and yet violence .after that i got only bad relationships,as i am in the chase me pattern, the abuse cycle, and i ll make you love me .it is really exhausting.I feel tired no energy, powerless.I had good competencies, but i dont have any more motivation.
Thanks Dr.
I have been dating a wonderful man for almost 3 months now and things have been wonderful until 2 weeks ago when we started talking about where we were at with our relationship and things went sour with him after that. I believe the committment stage is scary to him as he has gone thru 1 1/2 years of stress and trauma of divorce and losing his mother in that same time frame. How do you help with helping him overcome and trust to being close to someone again? He told me he is even afraid to get close to his grandma now because he is afraid she is going to die. We get along wonderful and have a great relationship up until this point and he asked for some space to figure things out. He is the most amazing beautiful soul I have ever met and don’t want to risk further pushing him away, I just wish I could help because I know he is very depressed. He even said to me he was going to go back to counseling because he says I have been the perfect dating companion and he doesn’t know why he is feeling so numb all of sudden, when he feels he should be feeling more. Don’t want to lose this chance with him.
My guy once told me dat i should nt espect or even think about marriage Yet. But, he always frowns when ever my male. Frnds comes around. I need ur advice
have been with a fellow whom i love, we did everything together for the first couple years and got along great, however I had a thorn in my side when his wife lived with him for 2 years and wouldnt move out, when we first met I thought it was admirable temorarily helping his (EXwife) or so I always thought…. and son out but into the relationship found out he was still married. After getting attached!
He moved her out didnt tell me where, but when I asked he told me across the street, and then this june the divorce was finalized, That all really hurt, but to boot this past dec 31st he said he had a bomb to drop on me… he told me he has a 31/2 year old daughter who lives on the other side of the country, and told me in the middle of a store. He said he just found out..I was irrate because I was already dealing with one trust issue around his now exwife, he told me he researched it on his own because he got rumour and didnt want to upset me if it werent the case. But it was… He also said he wanted to make sure the child was adopted and not in foster care, I asked what was the outcome, he said she was adopted and asked me what to do.. I was upset because he wanted to get involved in a family unit I said \i didnt agree but would support him..I was really hurt because earlier that year I lost a pregnancy to him and we were trying.. then he gives me the news he has a child (biologically) with a women hehad a short relationship with. I felt cheap as I would have been woman number 4 with his child. He then flip flopped in/out of my life for the last several months telling me I dont care about him or his daughter and then pursues me telling he loves me make this work, do you want another man and his baggage. Then flyes the foster mother whos married with the little girl to stay at his place and doesnt communicate with me all weekend. But then takes me to dinner and tells me what he did at the retuarant. And thats when I find out that the woman is the foster mom… I asked if his exwife met them he said yes,,, I was so hurt and betrayed, he told me If I would have been so angry I would have been involved all along..time went on I asked him again if I could meet these people because he was going to that province for work and visiting (his Daughter) he said not this time and canceled the trip. He comes over eats gets a massage sometimes stays and othertime doesnt..I know I sound like a fool…Am I being used.
I would try and give him another chance. Hope it all works out!
i used to love aguy iknew him throught the internet and he was faithful to me and he prposed to me but ma parents did not like him because he is alitthel bit less educated than me.he gave up and he did not call me back.should i call him back ,istill love him.can you help me to take the right decision
Long Distance relationships can work out. But they are more difficult, of course. He would have to prove himself as loyal and a good committed partner before you should consider relocating to his town. Wishing you great love!
I have meet and kind of dating this man that I have met over the internet dating site and we will be meeting and we have been texting each other frequently…nevertheless, he ask that I purchase a Web Cam and it is going great conversing with him in order to see the actual man before meeting with him in public. He live about 4 miles away from me and often we suggest getting together at a nurture place, like Atlanta. I am very interested in him romantically and as my main partner and I have let him know if we were to go any further romantically is will have to be based on us becoming an Exclusive Couple and he has agreed. I am trying to be patient and does not rule out the idea of moving to his home town. What do you think about long distance relationship.
